Our Vision
"When you're singing, you can't hold a bad thought." Dick Van Dyke.
No truer words could be said about the joy of singing. What a world this would be if we could keep the whole world singing. We may not be able to change the entire world but we can sure make a difference in the lives around us.
Our Mission
As members of the Conejo Valley Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society, we are dedicated to:
- Perpetuating the American institution of Barbershop Quarteting, to promote public appreciation of Barbershop harmony and support charitable projects.
- Providing a musical repertoire and the necessary vocal and performance training to support a performing Barbershop Chorus and any number of Barbershop Quartets.
- Giving frequent performances within the community, and to participate in the Society activities wherever possible.
- Present excellent musical entertainment as the Chapter's primary objective along with the associated musical growth both individually and as a chapter.
CVHOC High School Benefit Show®
In keeping with our vision and mission, we have sponsored an annual high school benefit show that promotes singing, raises need funds for the local high school choral programs, and introduces Barbershop harmony to teachers, students, and the community. Look to our upcoming events to see details on the next CVHOC High School Benefit Show® starring Dick Van Dyke. Learn how you can help through our sponsor program.
